Is Lane Kiffin is the Trump of CFB?

DISCLAIMER: Yes the title is clickbate, but the story is not. The FAU-Lane Kiffin saga is as spectacular as the stories revolving around our current president.

DISCLAIMER: Yes the title is clickbate, but the story is not. The FAU-Lane Kiffin saga is as spectacular as the stories revolving around our current president. And this is the most political this blog will EVER get.

Lane Kiffin and his FAU team continue to surprise everybody. Yesterday the Sun Sentenial ran a story about how the disgraced ex-Head Coach from Baylor, Art Briles was consulting Kiffin and the FAU offense.

According to an article by Bleacher Report that ran today, Kiffin said that the Sentenial was running the story just to a run story (Granted, I did that too, and it was one of my best blogs out of the 11 I had published). In the article, Kiffin stresses that the calls were to “mostly to give him updates on how his son [Kendal Briles, the FAU offensive coordinator] was handling his offensive coordinator duties”.

This whole story is great and as a fan of college football, I love every minute of this, especially in an off season with little news. Kiffin in the same article both denied that Art Briles wasn’t consulting the team and admitted that he was getting advice from Briles on how to run his fast paced offense. Uhh hey Kiffin, I think thats what consulting means.

Expect more coverage on FAU throughout the season. They are on my radar for every story that comes out of Boca Raton.
