On my weekly picks, FAU -6.5 was a mortal lock. FAU had been dominating teams in the Conference USA and was covering the spread until this happened.

Instead of choosing to punt the ball, and risk it being ran back for a TD or worse, blocked, FAU punter takes a safety to run down the clock by a couple seconds. This would setup a kick off, which has a better chance of a touchback or pinning Marshall deep.
This had huge Vegas implications. FAU was up 7 with 14 seconds to go and give Marshall 2 points, and winning 30-25 but failing to cover the spread.
Also, I can’t tell if I hate or love Lane Kiffin.
Didn’t want to cover because of too much rat poison #keptuwatching #5-0 #cometothefau #playersgetweekendoff https://t.co/HCsRjZKh4E
