Bovada Presents: Pre-Season Heisman Favorites: Quarterbacks

%ALT_TXT%%

I’ll be using Bovada to place bets this year so lets keep it as a standard for all lines this year.

Tua Tagovailoa, Alabama +750

Tua claim to fame was his stellar performance during the national championship game last year. Odds makers are clearly riding that high. Tua leads all Heisman candidates and this should surprise everybody. Bryce Love and Jonathan Taylor change the game for their respective teams. Tua has yet to be seen consistently on the national stage, and that is concerning.

Jake Fromm, Georgia +1500

Fromm was one of the best quarterbacks in the league last year, only to be beat by Tua Tagovailoa on the National Championship. Jake Fromm had 2615 yards, 24 TDs and only 7 interceptions last year. Georgia lost Nick Chubb and Sony Michel to the NFL, so offensive performance and leadership for the Bulldogs will have to come from Fromm. If Fromm improves on those numbers and takes the Bulldogs to another natty, the Heisman will be his.

Trace McSorely, Penn State +1500

Much like Fromm, Trace McSorely will have sole ownership of the Penn State offense. Saquon Barkley went to the NFL, so McSorely will have all the reigns of the offense. The QB threw for 3570 yards and 28 TDs with 10 interceptions. Trace McSorely has the advantage of playing the best teams in the Nation with Ohio State, Michigan and Michigan State being the same division. With games against Iowa and Wisconsin scheduled this year, McSorely will face the best defenses in the Big 10. He needs to make it through those 5 teams and make the B1G Championship Game for him to even have the chance at being on of the Heisman finalists.
